Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy can be considered as healing of the soul, from the Greek words Psyche (soul) and Therapeia (healing). It is a process of healing the innermost parts of ourselves to create possibilities for change. There are many approaches to psychotherapy; The Centre for Movement and Creative Arts in Psychotherapy offers a humanistic, integrative, creative approach to Psychotherapy which allows you to explore your relationship with yourself and others using both verbal and non-verbal means.
Supervision
Supervision gives you the space to reflect on and explore your work with others from a range of perspectives. Through this process you can gain insight into the complexities and dynamics of your work with your clients. This enables best possible practice. The Centre for Movement and Creative Arts in Psychotherapy offers a creative embodied approach to supervision.
Retreats and workshops
The Centre for Movement and Creative Arts in Psychotherapy offers regular retreats and workshops. These are an opportunity for you to take some time for yourself to recharge, play, be creative, share with others, and gain insight and self-understanding.
Professional development
At the Centre for Movement and Creative Arts in Psychotherapy, Professional Development is viewed from a range of perspectives. It can be a source for connection and replenishment, a resource for the development and expansion of skills, an opportunity to create a better collaborative working environment. Acknowledging these diverse wishes, we curate conferences, workshops, team building events and bespoke training events. An example of our work is the development of the North East Arts Therapies group (NEAT).
